Nature's Revolt: Where Art Meets Activism
Lough Neagh is dying due to decades of neglect and exploitation but local communities have risen up. Our partners, Save the Lough, are hosting this art exhibition at Oxford Island Nature Reserve on the southern shores of Lough Neagh to celebrate the power of the communities that have risen up in response to the environmental crisis unfolding at Lough Neagh.
The exhibition, which features the works of 35 artists, highlights our connection to nature and is a rallying cry to take action for our landscape, so please try to get along and show your support. All royalties from art sold will go to artists, with a small portion reserved for the Lough Neagh campaign.
Where: Oxford Island and Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, BT66 6NJ (open Monday-Sunday, 10am-5pm)
When: 26 January - 8 March 2024

Film launch: Act Now!
In June 2022 Northern Ireland finally had a Climate Act to call its own. But what really happened behind the scenes before the unprecedented 2-bill race with the Climate Change (No. 2) Bill gaining Royal Assent?
This is the story of how Northern Ireland’s climate change law started with a conversation in a café. It’s the story of how civil society stepped in to write it when the minister refused. It’s about how local people gained political support for a Climate Act and forced Northern Ireland to stop being a climate laggard.
We welcome you to join us.
